U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asking Congressional leaders not to renew a current federal law that prevents the Department of Justice from spending money to interfere with state medical marijuana laws. Below you can find the actual letter that he sent to Senators McConnel and Schumer, along with Speaker Ryan, and Representative Pelosi.

It is no secret that Jeff Sessions has a problem with cannabis. He has even been on record saying, "Good people do not smoke marijuana."

He continues to deny that there is any medical value and seemingly, will stop at nothing to end the legalization of cannabis. His motives are not clear, but it has been pointed out that he personally owns stocks in the private prison industry.
